3 cups berries(raspberry, Marion, black, blue, Logan)
3 T. shortening
1¼ cups sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
½ cup milk
1 T. cornstarch
1 cup boiling water




Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Spread berries in sprayed 8 inch baking pan. In medium mixing bowl, cream shortening and ¾ cup sugar well. Add, flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk and mix well. Spread over berries. In small bowl, combine remaining sugar and cornstarch. Sprinkle over top of batter, pour boiling water over all.

(May be doubled to 9x13 pan)
Bake for 1 hour.
