¾ c. sugar
1 c. cooked mashed carrots
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
¾ c. shortening
1 c chopped nuts
1 egg

Cream sugar and shortening and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop on greased cooking sheet. 350º for 10 minutes.

Ice with frosting made of powdered sugar and orange juice.

When my children were little, this was a favorite cookie.
