3/4 cup chopped carrot
1 1/3 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 T butter or margarine
2 T all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups broth or stock
3 cups cooked, dry packed lima or butter beans
1 cup chopped tomato
2 T finely chopped parsley
1 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried thyme

Directions:
Directions:
Cook beans per package. Set aside. Saute carrots, celery and onion in butter until onion is tender. Add flour and cook 1-2 minutes longer. Add broth, benas and tomato. Heat to boil. Add sesonings. Reduce heat and simmer.
