Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
3 garlic cloves minced
1 Tablespoon sesame oil
½ cup brown sugar (Amy's note: I NEVER use this much and it's still plenty sweet... I'd recommend you start with a quarter cup and then add more to taste if you like!)
¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
salt and pepper
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (more or less depending on how spicy you like it)
2 cups cooked rice
1 bunch green onions diced

Directions:
Directions:
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown beef with garlic in the sesame oil.
Drain most of the fat and add brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, salt and pepper and red pepper flakes. Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
Serve over steamed rice and top with green onions.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe is beloved by even young children with limited pallets (likely because the meat is slightly sweet!) It is such an easy, fast meal to pull together and delicious over rice with crisp, stir fried veggies (peppers, onions etc) on the side.
