Thick Fudge Sauce makes about 3 cups


Ingredients:

1 c sugar
¾ c cocoa powder
1 c light corn syrup
½ c milk
¼ tsp salt

3 T butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and cocoa powder in a saucepan. Stir in corn syrup, milk and salt. Cook, stirring often till mixture comes to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer 3 minutes, stirring often.

Remove from heat and add butter. When it melts, add the vanilla and stir well. Use immediately or cool and refrigerate. Heat before using.
 

Easy Fudge Sauce* makes about 2 cups

½ c cocoa powder
1 c brown sugar
pinch of salt
½ c water

1tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together cocoa powder, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Add water and mix well. Bring to a boil on high heat, then turn heat down and simmer, stirring often about 1 min. (mixture will thicken very slightly). Remove from heat and cool 5 min., then stir in vanilla. Use hot or cold.

* This makes a thinner sauce than the above, but it's good and rich.
