2 c flour
3 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¼ c sugar
½ cup cold butter (1 cube), cut into pieces
⅔ c milk (approx.)

Directions:
Directions:
Place dry ingredients in food processor and pulse briefly. Add the cold butter pieces and pulse on and off till mixture resembles coarse meal. It's ok if there are some larger butter pieces still. Pour mixture into bowl.

(At this point, you may refrigerate or freeze the mixture in a tightly sealed container and finish making biscuits later.)

Preheat oven to 400º

Add milk to make a fairly firm dough, scraping the bowl to make sure everything is mixed. Drop into 8 even mounds on cookie sheet lined with parchment or greased.

Bake biscuits in preheated oven about 15 min or till golden brown. Cool on rack.

4 baskets fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered or sliced
2-3 T sugar, approx.

Mix sugar into berries an let sit at least an hour to macerate. Taste and add more sugar if needed.

(Sugared berries may be made up to a day in advance and refrigerated. Bring them to room temp before using.)

1 c whipping cream
2 T sugar
dash vanilla

Whip the cream, sugar and vanilla till stiff.

Cut the biscuits in half. Scoop a good spoonful of strawberries onto bottom biscuit half. Replace the top and add another spoonful of strawberries. Top with whipped cream and serve immediately.
