"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1½-2lbs boneless pork chops (4 large)
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
2 stalks celery, diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 Granny Smith apple, cored and thinly sliced
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
2½ cups dry stuffing mix (Pepperidge Farm)
2 Tbsp butter, softened
¾ cup chicken broth

Spray slow cooker with non stick spray. Season pork chops on both sides with salt & pepper, set aside.
Cover bottom of slow cooker with ½ the onion, celery & ½ the apple slices.
Lay pork chops on top of vegetables; cover chops with remaining onion, celery & apples. Pour cream of mushroom soup over pork chops, spread around into an even layer.
In med bowl, add stuffing, butter & broth. Stir until well combined; add stuffing on top of pork chops. Cook in slow cooker 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.

You can add some vegetables into the slow cooker with your pork chops, stuffing, and other ingredients. Some of the vegetables that would work best with this dish include carrots and broccoli, but you can choose any of your favorites to use to make this incredible meal.

Why Make Pork Chops In The Slow Cooker?
By cooking the pork chops low and slow for several hours in your seasoned gravy, they become incredibly juicy and tender. Pork chops can tend to be dry if you ignore them while they cook, but thankfully that isn’t a problem in the slow cooker!
