3 large egg whites, room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
Dash of salt
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 cup raspberry preserves
5-6 drops red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 225 degrees. Cover cookie sheets with parchment paper. In a small bowl, beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until very stiff peaks form, about 10 minutes. Add preserves and food coloring, beating 1 minutes at highest speed.

Drop meringue from teaspoon or pipe with pastry tube into 1-inch mounds onto paper-lined cookie sheets. Bake at 225 degrees for 2 hours. Cool completely. Remove from paper.
