2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sour milk
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar, stir in eggs and vanilla. Mix the other ingredients alternately with the sour milk. Drop on greased cookie sheet, sprinkle sugar on top of each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees. Makes 4 to 6 dozen.
