Ingredients:
Ingredients:
5 lb bag Martha White Self Rising Flour
1 low rounded teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 lb. Crisco shortening

Mix and store in air tight container.

To make biscuits, add light Buttermilk to dry mixture until it is sticky and hard to handle. Add chipped, not grated Wisconsin cheddar cheese.
Place on floured cutting board and sprinkle with small amounts of flour mixture to cut in to dough so that it can be handled. Pat down to 3/4”.
Preheat baking pan that has Buttery Flavored Wesson oil in it. Cut and place biscuits in pan and flip when so oil is on top and bottom. Bake in preheated 450-500 degree oven until brown.

This recipe came from the cook at deer camp. Daddy loved to make these at home.
