Directions:
Add your onion skins to a stock pot and add water. Heat the skins and water, turn off the heat and allow the skins to steep in the pot and cool down. When close to room temp add your room temp eggs to the pan and make sure they are completely covered with skins and water. Return to a boil and boil for 10 minutes. Remove the eggs and allow them to cool on the cartons. They will be a beautiful dark brown color!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is an Weise Family tradition that we still carry on in 2022! It is a little contest to see who manages to get the darkest eggs. They are all beautiful and the ones that crack are even better, so whack a few with the spoon while they are cooking. As kids at Grams on Easter we would break the eggs open on our heads, not sure why but it made us all laugh! Make sure to save your onion skins all year to make these at Easter time, if you are short on skins you can pick some from the onion bins at the store like Justin and Aunt Karen do!!
