11/2 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup cornstarch
11/2 qt pineapple or orange juice
1/3 cup rum (or substitute 11/2 tbsp. rum extract and 1/4 cup water)
1/3 cup butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Combine dry ingredients; stir in fruit juice.

Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.

Add rum and butter, stirring until butter melts and blends into mixture. Remove from heat.

Ladle 2 ounces sauce over each serving of pound or angel food cake.
