1 lb. Italian sausage use spicy flavor ( Siegi’s)
4-6 russet potatoes thin sliced.
1 onion chopped
¼ c. real bacon pieces
2 T. minced garlic about 3-4 cloves
32 oz chicken broth, may take 2
1c. or more Spinach, Kale or swiss chard, chopped
1 c. heavy cream
2 T. Flour
Salt and Pepper
Cayenne

Directions:
Brown sausage in a sauté pan.
Place sausage , chicken broth, garlic, potatoes and onion in slow cooker. Add just enough broth to cover the vegetables and meat. Cook on high 3-4 hours or low 5-6 hours until potatoes are soft.
30 mins before serving: Mix flour into cream removing lumps.
Add cream and greens to the crockpot, stir.
Cook on high 30 mins or until broth thickens slightly. Add salt pepper and cayenne to taste.
***I saute onions, then sausage, bacon. Boil sliced potatoes in water for 3-4 mins. Put all together in large pan. Heat low for a while, then add the rest of the recipe.
