Truffle Top Brownies Recipe

21 oz. pkg. Fudge Brownie Mix
c. oil
c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
1 egg
c. chopped almonds, toasted


8 oz. cream cheese
c. powdered sugar
1 c. chocolate chips, melted
2 T. almond extract
2 T. milk


c. chocolate chips
c. whipping cream
c. sliced almonds, toasted

In large bowl, combine all bar ingredients. Beat 50 strokes. Spread batter in 13x9 pan. Bake 26-33 min. at 350. Do not over bake.

In small bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar at medium speed. Add melted chips and flavoring. Spread over cooled bars. Refrigerate 1 hour.

Melt c. chocolate chips in cream, stirring constantly until smooth. Spread over bars and sprinkle with almonds.

Tastes best after 5 or 6 days.
