2lbs asparagus or about 2 bunches
1 lemon (half juiced & half sliced into rings)
4Tbsp unsalted butter cut into pats
1Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sea salt or added to taste
½ tsp black pepper, freshly ground
½ cup shredded parmesan cheese or to taste

Rinse 2 bunches of asparagus; break off ends by holding base end & snapping it wherever it snaps. Place asparagus in large rimmed baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil; season with salt & pepper. Roll asparagus lightly to coat in oil & seasonings. Squeeze ½ a lemon evenly over asparagus. Line top third of asparagus with lemon slices from second half of your lemon. Thinly slice 4tbsp of butter and line the center of the asparagus with butter. Bake at 400° for 10 min or until asparagus is tender. Remove asparagus from oven; set oven to Broil. Sprinkle center of asparagus with Parmesan cheese then return to center of oven; broil 2-3 min until cheese is melted & golden.
