4 qt. water
1-1/3 c. pickling salt
1-1/3 c. vinegar
½ c. sugar
1-2 tbsp. pickling spice
⅛ tsp. per qt. of alum

Directions:
Directions:
Boil for 5 minutes. Pour over cucumbers packed in jars with dill and 1 clove garlic. Process in canner.
