1 lb. butter
6 c. flour
6 egg yolks, unbeaten
1 pint sour cream (2 c. )
2 ¼ t. yeast

Filling
2 ½ - 3 lbs. ground walnuts
1 c. sugar
1 ½ t. vanilla
½ - ¾ c. milk, enough to moisten

Directions:

Crumble yeast with flour using a pastry blender. Then add butter and mix using pastry blender. Add egg yolks and sour cream and mix thoroughly. Wrap dough in plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight.

Divide dough into six equal portions. Roll out one portion at a time, leaving remaining dough in the fridge.

Roll dough out in a little bit of sugar, using flour to coat rolling pin. Dough should be no more than ¼” thick.

Divide filing into six equal portions. Spread filling on dough and roll into a long sealed log. Make sure seal is tight. Place log on ungreased, foil-lined sheet. Slice logs about ¾”, keeping rolls standing up, spreading apart slightly.

Bake at 375º 15 - 20 minutes.
