Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4.5-5 lb pork shoulder (pork butt)
2 medium yellow onions, thinly sliced
4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 cup chicken stock or low-sodium broth
1 Tbsp packed dark brown sugar
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tbsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Place the onions and garlic in an even layer in the slow cooker and pour in the broth. Combine the sugar, chili powder, salt, cumin, and cinnamon. Pat the pork dry and rub the spice mixture all over the meat. Place meat in the slow cooker. Cover and cook until tender, 6-8 hrs on low.

When the pork is done, remove the meat and shred using two forks. Moisten the shredded meat with the broth from the crock pot (onions/garlic can be strained out if desired).

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Great recipe because it has a ton of flavor and is never dry. I use it for Mexican recipes or I mix it with bbq sauce.
