16-ounce package bacon
1 medium onion, finely chopped
8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
6 slices bread
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon prepared mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Cook bacon in large skillet on medium-low heat until crisp. Drain, reserving drippings.
Roll 6 slices while still warm around tines of a fork to make bacon curls; set aside.
Grease bottom of 13-by-9-inch bak­ing dish with 1 tablespoon reserve bacon drippings.
Add onion and mushrooms to 3 tablespoons of remaining bacon drippings.
Cook on medium heat until tender.
Arrange bread on bottom of dish.
Top with mushroom-onion mixture, cheese and bacon.
Beat eggs in medium bowl.
Blend in milk and mustard.
Pour over bacon.
Bake in 350º F oven 35 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
Garnish with bacon curls.
Note: May be prepared several hours to a day ahead. Cover and refrigerate. Bake as directed above.
