Prime Rib Roast
2 cloves garlic - cut into slivers
2 tbsp salt
2 tbsp pepper
2 tbsp garlic powder

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 550 degrees

Cut slits in the prime rib and insert the slivers of garlic
Mix the salt, pepper, and garlic powder together and rub the mixture all over the prime rib.

Roast the prime rib, fat side up, 5 minutes for rare, 6 minutes for medium or 7 minutes for well done. Then at the end of the cooking time, above, turn off the oven and do not open the door. Let it continue to cook for two (2) hours.

I always test it at the end of 2 hours with a meat thermometer to see what the internal temperature is.
