Beef Brisket - a seasoning packet usually comes with the brisket

If no seasoning packet this is what you can make for the brisket.
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp dried thyme
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne powder
1/2 tsp cumin

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to a temp of 200 degrees

Spread the seasoning, from the packet, all over the brisket
Place the brisket into a cast-iron skillet or oven-proof pan
Add water about 1/4 up the brisket
Cover and let it cook for 7 - 8 hours

I added potatoes, carrots, and cabbage to the brisket about halfway through and it turned out great.
