3 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 1/4 cups cake meal
4 oz slivered almonds, toasted
6 oz semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Using stand mixer, mix eggs, sugar, and oil with paddle. Once combined add the vanilla and almond extracts. Then add salt, cinnamon, and baking powder and mix on low until combined.

Add cake meal and mix on low until combined. Scrape down sides and mix again. Add nuts and chocolate chips.

Turn dough out onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Divide dough in half and form into logs approximately 3 x 12 inches.

Place in oven and bake for 15 minutes. Turn pan around and bake for another 10 minutes or until logs begin to turn golden.

Remove from oven and let cool. Reduce oven temperature to 200 degrees.
Cut into 3/4 inch pieces and bake for another 20 minutes until dry.
