2 cans pinto beans
1 large onion (chopped), or equivalent onion flakes
2 large (14.5 or 15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1½ - 2 pounds ground beef, browned and drained

⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 whole cloves
1 bay leaf

Directions:
Place all ingredients in large pot. Heat almost to boiling on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low, and simmer about 2 hours.

Remove bay leaf and cloves (sometimes you can’t find the cloves). Refrigerate and serve the following day. This allows for better flavor. You can serve the day you make it, if you prefer.
