8 eggs…
1 cup half-and-half…2 t cinnamon…
1 t sugar…
12 slices of thick bread, such as Texas toast…
8 oz. Cream cheese, at room temperature…
4 cups fresh mixed berries, blueberries, strawberries, red raspberries and black berries…

Powdered sugar and maple syrup for serving….

Coat 9 X 13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray…
In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, half-and-half, cinnamon and vanilla…
Place 6 slices of bread in bottom of dish, I remove the crust on the bread, first…
Spread cream cheese on each slice of bread…
Top the cream cheese with the mixed berries…
Top berries with rest of the sliced bread…
Pour the egg mixture over the entire casserole…
Cover the casserole with plastic wrap and put in refrigerator overnight…

Preheat oven to 350º in morning…
Take casserole out of fridge and let it stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before puttinin oven to cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour…
BE SURE TO CHECK IT WITH A KNIFE FOR DONENESS BEFORE TURNING OFF OVEN…
just insert knife in middle of casserole and if it comes out clean, let it sit for 5 minute before cutting pieces and serving..

I always remove bread crust before putting in casserole, just easier to cut…
I always spread each slice of bread with cream cheese before I put it in baking dish, again I find this method easier…

Have bacon or sausage and maybe even a screwdriver or Bloody Mary for adults or even champagne and OJ,
Of course juice of any sort for the children or chocolate milk….
