2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp maple flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in pecans. Whisk buttermilk, eggs, oil, and maple flavoring in medium bowl. Whisk milk mixture into dry ingredients just until dry ingredients are thoroughly moistened. Preheat waffle maker. Pour 1 cup batter onto the center of the bottom grill. Close top and flip waffle maker. Bake until brown, about 4 minutes.
