Ingredients: 3 cups sweet potatoes, mashed 1 TBS vanilla 1 cup sugar 3 eggs milk (enough to make the mix a little thin) pie shell, unbaked
1 jar marshmallow cream (optional)
Tools pie pan mixing bowl, medium toothpicks (optional, can use a knife to test the doneness of pie) spatula, cake brulee torch

Directions:Place pie crust in pie pan. Use pie crust crimper if desired. Lightly brush butter on the crust rim to prevent overbrowning.
Preheat oven to 350º.
Mix all ingredients together, adding milk until mix is a little thin.
Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Bake until center is set and a knife or toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 55-60 minutes.
Optional: Ice cake with marshmallow cream, making a small "wave" pattern on top. Torch with the brulee torch until tops of peaks are toasted golden-brown. |
