1 stick butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 & 1/2 cups self rising flour
1/2 cup crisco
1/2 cup milk
2 cups apples, chopped fine
1 t cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.
Melt butter in 13x9x2 inch baking dish.
In saucepan, heat sugar and water until sugar dissolves.
Cut crisco into flour; add milk & stir with a fork until mixed.
Turn out onto a pastry sheet & knead until smooth.
Roll out unto a long rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Chop apples & mix with cinnamon.
Spread apple mixture over dough and then roll up like a jelly roll.
Dampen the edge with water and seal.
Slice dough into 18 - 20 slips.
Place in pan with melted butter.
Pour sugar & syrup around rolls.
Be sure and use all the liquid.
Bake for 50 minutes.
