2-1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 eggs whites, beaten stiff
1/2 c. cherries or nuts
Vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar and water to thin syrup stage. Slowly pour 1/3 over whites, beating constantly. Cook remaining syrup to thread stage, 234⁰. Add 1/2 to egg white mixture, beating constantly. Cook remaining syrup to firm ball stage, 248⁰, add to egg white mixture. Add vanilla, beat until it holds shape and drop by spoonful on wax paper.
