Ingredients:
Mom’s recipe with my additions.
Brown small onion. 1 tsp. Salt, 1 tsp. Pepper and 1/2 tsp. Garlic powder (I use minced garlic).
I also brown 3/4 to 1 lb. ground beef and 1/2 to 1 lb. hot Italian sausage with the above.
(Mom’s recipe uses 2 lb. ground beef made into meatballs).

I drain fat off of mixture. Then add 1 can tomato paste, 1 can 8 oz. tomato sauce, 1 sauce can of water, 1 can of 28 oz. diced or crushed tomatoes.
3 Tblsp. Brown sugar, 1 Tblsp. Worchestershire sauce (I use more).
Juice of 1/2 lemon. 1 Tblsp. Chili powder.

Let come to boil and simmer 30 minutes.
If adding meatballs you add now. (Then cook 1 hour with meatballs.)

Add 1 tsp. Oregano. If you want add 1 can of mushrooms.
