2 sticks butter(1 unsalted,1 salted)
2 cups sugar
2 cups cake flour
1 cup all purpose flour
4 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
3 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
1½ tsp almond extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350. Ready 3- 9in. Pans. Sift dry ingredients in med. Bowl set aside, Measure out milk and add extracts, set aside.
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. eggs one at a
time , then add dry ingredients alternating with milk mix.
Bake 20 to 25 min until toothpick comes out clean, cool in pan 10 min. Then remove and cool completely

I basted cake with a honey glaze while still hot and frosted with a vanilla almond buttercream
