2 cups butter-softened
2 cups granulated sugar
1 ⅓ cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
6 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar

For rolling:
8 Tbsp granulated sugar
4 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar until well mixed. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix until all incorporated. Refrigerate dough for 30-60 minutes.

In a small bowl combine sugar and cinnamon.

Take about 2 1/2 Tbsp of dough and roll it in a ball. Roll the dough ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture and place on baking sheet.

Bake 12-14 minutes at 325º. Cookies will seem undercooked but will continue to develop after they are removed from oven.
