4 carrots, peeled and sliced
4 celery stalks, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
2 bay leaves
½ teaspoon dried thyme
4 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon pepper
3½ pound whole chicken
7-8 cups chicken broth


Directions:
Directions:
Place veggies, seasoning and chicken in slow cooker. Add enough broth to fill slow cooker ⅔ full.

Cover and cook on low, 8 to 10 hours.

Remove chicken and cool. Discard skin, bones, and bay leaves.

Add desired cooked noodles to slow cooker. Cover and cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Shredded chicken and stir back into soup.
