4 cups all purpose flour, additional flour for rolling out dough
1¾ cup lard
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
½ cup water

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combined all purpose flour, lard, sugar, and salt. Blend together with a pastry cutter until crumbly.

In a small bowl, mix egg with water. Blend into flour mixture, until mixture forms a ball. Chill in refrigerator until ready to use.

Use a linen towel on countertop. Place ¼ cup flour on towel and spread evenly into the center of towel

Divide the dough into 4 (keep remaining dough refrigerated). Roll out each quarter, flipping Dough and flouring as needed.
