1/2 tsp seasoned salt
1-3 tsp garlic powder
1-3 tsp pepper
1 tsp monoglutamate
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup worchestershire sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp liquid smoke (opt)
1 1/2 # flank steak

Trim off fat. Slicing with grain, make strips 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and 2 to 3 inches long.
Combine ingredients. Pour over strips and mix well. Let marinate overnight in a plastic bag so meat will be thoroughly saturated. Drain on paper towels. Lay strips in single layer on rack or hang from toothpicks. Have baking sheet underneath. Leave oven door cracked open Bake 3-5 hours at 200 degrees until meat is chewy. Test by tasting.

I lay a rack on sheet cake pan and place meat on it. This recipe works well for marinating a brisket.
