1 med. head cabbage, chopped into 1/2 in. pieces
2 lbs. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
1 c. cooked rice
2 14 oz. cans tomato sauce ( or tomato soup)
1 c. water
1 c. tomato juice
2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Cook ground beef in large skillet over med. heat until completely cooked.
Grease a 9" x 13" glass dish (no metal dish).
Put cabbage on bottom of dish. Sprinkle the browned ground beef, onion and green pepper on top of meat. Sprinkle salt & pepper, then add uncooked rice.

In a separate bowl, combine tomato sauce or soup, water, juice & brown sugar. Pour into dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours.

My friend, Julie, asked me if I knew a good cabbage recipe. I found this one through another friend of mine posting it online. I have never tried this dish before but it sounds like it would be delicious. I hope everyone will try this recipe because I know I will be.
