1 c. shortening
1 ½ c. sugar
1 egg
1 can evaporated milk (13 oz.)
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp.vanilla
3/4 tsp. salt
4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, and egg, add milk, and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. DO NOT add too much flour, just enough to have dough hold together. The less you mix the dough, the better the cookies will be. Cut out cookies and bake at 350º for 11 minutes. Do not let cookies brown. Cool and then frost.
