1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. coarsely crumbled saltine crackers (about 20)
2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix:
Hamburger, crackers and onion.
Beat egg, add milk and salt.
Add egg mixture to hamburger and mix with hands.
Using wax paper, press a ball of hamburger mixture out flat and 1/4 inch thick.
Fry in a 2 Tablespoon cooking oil heated in frying pan.
Slide meat into oil slowly and avoid splattering hot oil on yourself. Fry on both sides for about 3-4 minutes.
