1 lb asparagus, ends removed
1 egg
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
garlic powder
onion powder
paprika (Meghan's addition)
1 T butter
1 T olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
1. Bring pot of water to a boil on the stove and blanch asparagus, 2-3 minutes. Remove from water.

2. Brush blanched asparagus with egg wash, then roll in flour. Finally, roll asparagus in mixture of breadcrumbs and spices in a shallow dish.

3. Heat saucepan and add butter and oil. Once melted, add breaded asparagus. Cook 5-10 minutes until breadcrumbs are crispy and asparagus is tender.
