1-1/2 8-oz. boxes lasagna noodles
Salad oil
3/4 lb. ground turkey or beef
3/4 lb. hot Italian sausage, cut up
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2-1/2 c. spaghetti sauce
1 lb. cottage cheese (or ricotta)
1/4 c. sour cream
1-1/2 8-oz pkg. sliced Mozarella

On the day before or early in the day:
Cook noodles, drain and toss with oil.
Brown turkey or beef with sausage and drain well. Add
salt, pepper and spaghetti sauce. Stir well.
Combine cottage cheese with sour cream.
Arrange 1/2 of noodles in oblong 9"x12" cassereole.
Cover with 1/2 of meat sauce, next a layer of cheese
slices, (using 8 oz.), then all of cottage cheese mixture.
Top with remaining noodles, then the rest of the
Mozarrella in 1/2" strips, laid lattice style across the top.
Brush the surfaces of the cheese strips with a little oil.
Spoon the rest of the meat sauce mixture into lattice
spaces. Cover with plastic wrap or foil. Refrigerate.
About 1 hour before serving: Remove lasagna from
refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Then bake at 350º for 30 min.
or until cheese melts and is golden.
