Directions:
In a medium saucepan, (heavy if possible), cook sugar, salt, cream of tartar, Karo syrup, canned milk to medium ball size stage, stirring often, or until a candy thermometer reaches 238º-244º. When you can make at least a medium sized ball with it (walnut sized), take it off of burner. Add peanut butter and vanilla and mix well. Place formed balls in an 8x8 greased pan. Bake for 1 hour, 15 minutes or until the balls start to sparkle at 350º.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Kay is Stephanie's boss's mother. Steph has known the family for over 20 years, and is very close to them. Kay gave this recipe to her since this fudge was such a hit with Tad (Steph's boss) and his family growing up, and also at the pharmacy where Stephanie works with all the employees.

A MUST TRY FOR HOLIDAY SEASON!
