Ingredients:
For the filling:

2 overripe pears, peeled and grated
3 tart red apples, thinly sliced (I left unpeeled, but you can peel these if preferred)
1/3 cup blueberries, rinsed
1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
1 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/8 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

For the topping:
3/4 cups all-purpose flour (could try using gluten-free flour)
1/2 cup coconut sugar, lightly packed
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
1/4 pound (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, diced

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350º Oil an 8 x 8 inch baking dish.

Place the fruit in a large bowl and add the zests, juices, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour into the baking dish.

For the topping: Combine the flour, sugar, salt, oatmeal, and butter in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Mix on low speed for 1 minute, until the mixture is in large crumbles. (Alternatively, use a pastry cutter or fingers to break up the butter until the mixture is crumbled.) Sprinkle evenly over the fruit, covering the fruit completely.

Place the baking dish on a sheet pan and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, until the top is brown and the fruit is bubbly. Serve warm. Lovely with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.

This is a variation of a 2007 Ina Garten recipe using much less sugar, grated pears for sweetener, sub coconut sugar for brown sugar and addition of blueberries
