1 C. shortening
½ C. sugar
1 C. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, well beaten
2 C. plus 4 TBSP flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 C. chopped nuts (optional)
Chocolate chips to taste
Dash cinnamon

Directions:

Cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla. Fold in eggs and beat. Add sifted dry ingredients. Bake in moderate oven 8 to 10 minutes.
