4 egg yolks (and whites, separated)
⅔ C. sugar
Rind of 1 lemon and juice of 1 orange (if you don't have orange then use 4 TBSP water)

Directions:
Put sugar, lemon rind, egg yolks, orange juice, and lemon juice in top of double broiler. Mix well with egg beater. Cook without stirring until thick like custard. Remove from heat and let stand over hot water. Beat egg whites stiff as for meringue. Add half the egg whites into custard filling. Put in pie shell. Spread meringue on top and bake slow in oven until golden brown.
