Squash (buttercup, etc.)
Apples
1 stick butter
Brown sugar
Salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up squash and apples and place in a 10-inch Dutch oven. Use 2/3 squash to 1/3 apple portions. Place cut-up chunks of butter on top of squash and apples. Sprinkle sugar over butter layer, in amount as desired. Season with salt and pepper. Place lid on Dutch oven. Place 10 hot charcoal briquettes around outer edge of Dutch oven lid, and place 10 hot briquettes around edge under Dutch oven. This will be a temperature of 350° and cook for 50 minutes, or until you smell food cooking.
