6 ears white corn (fresh)
3 slices raw bacon
Salt & pepper
Sugar (opt.)

Directions:
Directions:
Slice corn kernels off the 3 layers as thin as possible. Scrape remaining flesh off with blunt side of knife. Cut bacon in thin strips. Place in cast iron skillet and cook until crisp. Dip bacon pieces out. Add corn to hot fat. Do not stir immediately. Allow to fry for about 1 minute. Scrape the bottom of the pan with a spatula to stir corn. Turn heat to low. Cover, and cook or steam for 5 minutes. Season and serve.
Note: If the corn is not really fresh, add 1 teaspoon sugar.
