1 (3 oz.) pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 c. buttermilk
1 (8 oz.) ctn. Cool Whip
1 can fruit cocktail
1 can pineapple tidbits or crushed pineapple
1 can mandarin oranges
1 pkg. fudge-striped cookies

Directions:
Directions:
Mix pudding and buttermilk. Add Cool Whip. Drain fruit and add to mixture. Crush cookies and add 3/4 of them to mixture. Mix well. Sprinkle rest of cookies on top. Keep refrigerated.
Variation: Carolyn Anderson uses 1 (16-ounce) carton Cool Whip.
Note: Make about 1 hour in advance.
