1 1/2 c. fresh, raw cranberries
1/4 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. sugar
Wash and stem berries. Mix with nuts and sugar. Put in well-greased 9-inch square pan.

BATTER:
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 T. Crisco
1 egg
1/4 c. butter, melted

Mix and pour over berries. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Cover with sauce.

SAUCE:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. butter
Vanilla

Boil for 3 minutes. Serve hot over torte.
