1 c. - butter flavored shortening
1¼ - brown sugar, packed
½ c. - malted milk powder
2 T. - chocolate syrup
1 tsp. - vanilla
1 - egg
2 c. - all-purpose flour
1 tsp. - baking soda
½ tsp. - salt
1½ c. - semisweet chocolate chunks
1 c. - milk chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients; beat for 2 minutes. Add egg. Combine the flour, soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in chocolate chunks and chips. Shape into 2 inch balls, and place 3 inches apart on un-greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375º for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 2 minutes before moving to a wire rack. Makes about 1½ dozen cookies, fairly large.
