"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups confectioners sugar
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
water, for thinning

Directions:
Directions:
Add confectioners sugar to a mixing bowl or to the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the wire whisk attachment.

Start mixing on low, and slowly add the milk, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Continue to whip on medium until smooth.

If the royal icing is too thick, thin it out by adding small amounts of water, 1.2 tsp at a time, until it reaches the proper consistency. If it's too thin, add additional confectioners sugar a teaspoonful at a time, until it reaches the proper consistency. I always have to add a but if water to get the right consistency.
