Mexican Pulled Pork Recipe

Pulled Pork Spice Rub

2 tablespoons chili powder
½ tablespoon kosher salt (if using regular table salt, only use 1 teaspoon)
½ tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon cayenne
½ teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Scant pinch ground cloves

Pulled Pork

3-4 pound Pork shoulder roast
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
¾ cup Orange juice

Directions:
Directions:
1) Combine all of the spices to create the spice rub
2) Roll the Pork roast in the spices and rub into the meeat (as well as under the fat)
3) Coat the bottom of the slow cooker with the 2 tablespoons of Olive oil.
4) Place the spiced Pork roast on the olive oil.
5) Pour the orange juice over the pork roast and cover the slow cooker.
6) Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
7) When the cooking time is complete uncover the slow cooker, discard any bones and/or fat rinds and pull the roast apart using pulled pork forks or regular forks. The pork will be tender and stringy.
